A cosmetic surgery clinic has been widely criticized for selling vouchers in order that people can buy their loved ones the opportunity to undergo cosmetic surgery. the regulators are not happy, as they feel that it cheapens the idea of having cosmetic surgery.
so the question is this, if you could afford it,would you have cosmetic surgery? and if so what would you change about yourself. And if you knew someone who wanted to have cosmetic surgery but couldn't afford it, would you buy them a gift voucher?
I woodn't want coz medic sergery, because, that could mess up your body like that, it ill make you look weird, that's what i think, just look at

SugarBaby,
i won't go for it. natural is the best
Connie yeah I can see the difference, cosmetic surgery in the instance of an accident that has potentially caused some disfigurement is, in my view, perfectly justified. But it has become more and more common for people to have cosmetic surgery purely for vanity reasons. Face lift cause they look older than they'd like, cause they don't like their big nose, boob job (inlargement that is) because they want a bigger chest, and so the list goes on, and in my view those are just vanity reasons. there are also other instances I think where surgery is justified, breast reductions I think are justified, re-constructions after mastectomy, so I'm not totally opposed :)
Actually, I'm not so sure if there is that much of a difference between cosmetic surgery as a result of an accident, and just to correct a feature that the person doesn't like. I mean, in both cases, the aim is to improve the person's appearance so that they can feel better about themselves, and consequently live a better life. If this is really what it is about, then I have nothing against cosmetic surgery, and even find it a good idea. Naturally, one has to be cautious to stay reasonable and try other ways to improve confidence first, and naturally one has to be on the lookout not to fall for the "never satisfied" syndrome, but if it is just about improving one of ever a couple of features that have always bothered the person, and lead to a decrease in quality of life, then why not?
If someone has the time, money, and inclination to have cosmetic surgery, for whatever their reasons, that's their prerogative. One doesn't see how others can judge it as wrong to have cosmetic surgery for reasons of vanity. Some are not blessed with natural beauty but are blessed financially, and therefore are able to buy themselves beauty.
In my oppinion, there's nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery no matter what the motives are. I'm not happy with the way my nose looks, and the thought of surgery crossed my mind more than once, but I'm too afraid to take a chance. Something could go wrong, the result may not be satisfying, other parts of my face could be damaged and the list of catastrofies goes on and on... :) If the situation was worse, maybe I'd take the chance and go ahead with it, but it's not too bad right now. As for paying for someone else's surgery, I would if I could afford it and if I knew I'd make someone happy.
well, i think cosmetic surgery is good if someone has been disfigured in accidents like someone throwing acid at someone else. but I am somewhat against cosmetic surgeries if its done for an invalid reason like impressing other. I totally agree with some of you.
i agree, going under the knife just because your not happy with ththe way you look is not a valid reason. That's the problem with society today, we strive for perfection and then when we don't achieve that we think of other ways to make ourselves look good.
